This was our last driving event before the summer heat took over. #DrivingWhileAwesome! is one of my favorite groups to drive with. Their rallies have a great mix of cars and enthusiasts. This year’s rally covered a total of 1,500 miles door to door for me. It started in Auburn, California and crossed over the Sierra mountain range to Topaz Lake on the Nevada border. It ended in Groveland, California. Our 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S performed great and was especially well-suited to the high altitude passes. We had a slight issue with the shift linkage at the start, but smooth sailing from there on out. We are always looking forward to their next rally. Thanks to the DWA team of Warren, Lane, and Art.
