The Lotus Emira is the replacement for the Evora.  It features a fresh design and is available in both V6 and 4-cylinder engine options, as well as manual, dual-clutch, and automatic transmissions.  The V6 is a supercharged engine that produces 400 hp and 310tq, with 0 to 60 mph times in the low 4-second range.  Around 1,500 of these were built worldwide, with an estimated 700 examples coming to North America.  The First Edition (FE) examples came bundled with most of the available options from Lotus, including the Design Pack, the Driver’s Pack, and the Convenience Pack.

This Emira was built in January 2024 and sold new to the current owner by Lotus of Bellevue, Washington, on April 24th, 2024.  The First Edition model was well equipped with the following:

  • Shadow Grey
  • Touring Suspension
  • Lower Black Pack
    • Gloss black front bumper air blades
    • Front splitter
    • Side sills
    • Rear diffuser
  • Yellow Brake Calipers
  • 20” Gloss Black Forged Wheels

  • Black Alcantara with Yellow Stitching
  • Black Alcantara Steering Wheel
  • Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport Tires
  • Privacy Glass Delete
  • Battery Maintainer
  • Scorpion Vehicle Tracker
  • Heated & Power Seats
  • KEF Uni-Q Premium Audio System
  • Apple Carplay and Android Auto
  • Parking Sensors & Rear Camera
  • The Design Pack

The MSRP was $97,470.

Shortly after taking delivery, this owner had Derek Bemis (detailer for West Side Collector Car storage/The Smoking Tire) did a paint correction and 5-year ceramic coating over all the painted surfaces

The current owner had placed a deposit for the much-anticipated Emira over 3 years ago.  Although the V6 first editions came loaded with standard items that were options on other models, this owner still customized his Emira with some color choices.  All the performance-related options were standard on the First Edition package.  By the time it arrived around 13 months ago, he had other automotive interests and purchases.  As you can tell by the odometer, he just didn’t drive it very much.

The exterior of this Emira FE is, as you would expect, near-new condition.  The paint looks perfect with no significant flaws.  The paint appears to be original.  The glass is also original and free from chips or scratches, and it is wearing the proper factory stampings.  The wheels have no curb rash and are wrapped in their original Goodyear tires that are less than 2 years old with only 600+ miles.  They are at near full tread life.  The brakes are the same.

The interior looks equally as nice and is also in near-new condition.  The leather/Alcantara seats show minimal wear with no cracks or other issues.  The headliner, carpet, door panels, and dash all look new.  There are no major wear marks on the entry thresholds.  All the gauges/screen work properly, as well as all electric functions.  The exposed shifter linkage is one of my favorite interior design features.  The car is due for its first break-in oil service per the dash indicator.  The factory warranty is good for 3 years or 36k miles, whichever comes first.  This takes the warranty to April 2027.

This V6 6-speed manual Emira drives like a new car, as you would expect.  It smells new, everything feels tight, and it is incredibly responsive.  The throttle response is excellent, and although plenty of creature comforts you come to expect in a modern sports car, it still has an analog vibe to it.  It is very much a Lotus.  Yes, I’d like it to be as light as the Elise/Exige era cars, but that’s impossible in this era of safety laws.  The shifting, stopping, and handling are superb.  It’s a modern-day driver’s sports car.  It may not be the fastest on the track, but it feels like the Lotus engineers were more focused on making something fun to drive on a twisting back road.

Here is a great review of the Lotus Emira manual from my friends Matt & Zack at The Smoking Tire:

The Smoking Tire Lotus Emira Review

This Lotus is currently registered in Oregon through June 2028, however, it will pass CA smog/emissions testing.

This Emira V6 FE comes with 2 keys, owner’s manuals/books in cover, original window sticker, Lotus branded battery tender, Emira framed photo for launch, Park Place/Adam’s polish welcome detailing kit, small tool/emergency kit, and safety triangle.

**Note: VIN and other numbers withheld to protect against fraud.  All numbers including VIN, Engine, and color will be provided to serious buyers.

I really shouldn’t drive modern sports cars.

I’m ruined.

With each shift, I feel the tug-of-war temptation pull on my lust gland.

Like one of those isolated and unconnected jungle tribes you see on National Geographic, I had no idea what I’d been missing.

Yes, this Lotus Emira is that good.  No, it’s not the fastest sports car on the market, but I think it’s one of a few that has an analog soul.

The 6-speed manual, steering, and suspension are perfect.   It makes me crave a day of backroad driving.

Should I have taken a bite of this forbidden fruit?  Will I ever be the same?

Like the addict I am, who cares?  Hold the tourniquet…I want to drive it more!
