This is the 2nd Overcrest rally our AutoKennel® team (my dad and me) have been fortunate to join. In the end, the experience was a full week adventure.

This latest chapter from Two Lane Tours has to be the best thus far. Nearly every mile was filled with breathtaking views and more twisting pavement (and a wee bit of dirt) than any enthusiast should be allowed. The most northern California roads are driving nirvana.

This is the first time Luftgekühlt had a two day event. We could only make Sunday, which was the first time they introduced water-cooled Porsches into the mix. It was called Air | Water and it was fantastic. Everything we love about the brand was there on display. At the end of the event, we were treated to a special tribute of Jeff Zwart firing up @KenBlockHHIC's Hoonipigasus Pikes Peak race car. Thank you to Patrick Long, Jeff Zwart, and the rest of the amazing Luft 9 team for another memorable event.

This was our last driving event before the summer heat took over. #DrivingWhileAwesome! is one of my favorite groups to drive with. Their rallies have a great mix of cars and enthusiasts. This year's rally covered a total of 1,500 miles door to door for me. It started in Auburn, California and crossed over the Sierra mountain range to Topaz Lake on the Nevada border. It ended in Groveland, California. Our 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S performed great and was especially well-suited to the high altitude passes. We had a slight issue with the shift linkage at the start, but smooth sailing from there on out. We are always looking forward to their next rally. Thanks to the DWA team of Warren, Lane, and Art. People say it's not about the cars, but about the people. But, c'mon...just look at these awesome back road vehicle warriors. Look at the smiles. It's these old cars that bring out the people and pull us together. Like PB&J, they go hand-in-hand. This year was the 13th running of the Targa. We went back to our roots and drove great roads along the coast and inland parts of Central California. Starting in Simi Valley and ending in Paso Robles, we covered over 700 miles of secondary country roads. The weather was perfect. The people were awesome. It was another great event.

The Snowball Rally aims to return classic rally cars to the untamed back roads, and elements of Northern California's Gold Country, High Sierra, and the Tahoe Basin.

This annual event is one of the best gathering of Porsche enthusiasts and their cars. For 3-days, over 200 air-cooled and torsion-bar only Porsches converge on the Hill Country area of Texas to enjoy each other's company and DRIVE!

AutoKennel On December 10th, 2021, over 50 eclectic cars gathered in Carmel by the Sea, California for the beginning of a 3-day rally. We drove over 700 miles of Central California's beautiful back roads. This annual event is hosted by @Driving While Awesome. It is a very inclusive event open to anyone and any car. It's all about the right spirit and attitude. It's not a competitive event, but rather an event of camaraderie.

@Driving While Awesome created this 3-day driving adventure around the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. 100+ enthusiasts and over 65 vehicles of all makes, models, and years joined on this automotive adventure.

This was the first multi-day rally with friends since the pandemic hit. We spent 4 days enjoying the central California coastal panoramas. 18 cars met in Arroyo Grande and branched out from there on our daily explorations. This was the 2nd running of this event, which was created in the memory of Robin Schramm. The event was organized and hosted by his father Ron Schramm and good friend, Steve Goyette.

Between the two DWA! rallies, I had a week to head off into the far northern coast of California. I drove hundreds of miles of virtually empty backroads and experienced beautiful scenery.

Since most rallies and tours this year have been canceled, some creative solutions were needed. DWA! decided to host two 1-day rallies a week apart. The idea was that you would rally from your home and back in the same day. Both events were held in Central to Northern California.

26 Porsche 356s gathered in Santa Ynez Valley in September of 2020 to celebrate the anniversary of Ferry Porsche's birthday. Examples from Pre-A through C bodies were represented.

Like many other events that were canceled this year, our beloved Car Week on the Monterey Peninsula in August didn't happen also. Jonesing for an automotive adventure, we set out on a 36 hour turn around driving event. My friend in his 1967 Volvo Amazon joined me on a gnarly dirt road adventure. After 4+ hours to cover 15-miles, we made it across the ridge of the Santa Barbara mountains. I'm pretty sure we are the only vintage European sports cars that have ever traversed that road. We arrived late into Carmel By The Sea, but it was worth the sunset blast up Hwy 1. The next morning at dawn, we met fellow @Driving While Awesome enthusiasts and headed to breakfast at Ragged Point. Back in Carmel, we said our goodbyes and enjoyed an empty Carmel Valley Road on our way back to Orange County, California. @womeninporsche led a group of Porsche enthusiasts on a nice drive through the local Malibu canyons. Great group of people that love to drive.

A weekend prior to the Covid-19 pandemic hitting home here in the U.S., we enjoyed one last driving rally hosted by Driving While Awesome! The roads were clear and the scenery was beautiful. We respected each other's personal space and fortunately no one became ill. For three days, we explored isolated California coastal roads on this annual spring time rally. Like anything else, this too shall pass and we will be back on the open road sharing driving experiences with our fellow enthusiasts. Be Healthy!

Nearly 50 vintage and unique cars ventured south of the border for the 6th annual Targa Baja California tour. We spent 4-days touring the countryside of the peninsula, driving open roads, and taking in the local scenery.

A group of enthusiasts who are fans of Porsche's 1970 and 1971 911 with their special 2.2L high compression engines, gathered in the wine region of Central California. We spent several days enjoying each other's company and celebrating these cars over hundreds of beautiful country roads.

The 2019 Sierra Rally was a three-day event at the end of September throughout the Sierra mountain range in California. This event was hosted by Driving While Awesome (DWA!) who celebrate interesting cars (ie sense of occasion) and love driving. They are all about diversity and have had everything from a 1962 Bristol to a 2007 Ruf RGT participate. This was not a race. All cars from the beginning of time to now are welcome. However, they have standards: Cool people with cool cars and great attitudes.

Targa Colorado is a vintage automotive enthusiast driving event/tour exploring the backroads of Colorado with like-minded enthusiasts. The event took place from 9/12/19 to 9/15/19. More details on these events and future ones are at www.targacalifornia.com or www.rallyplanners.com

This is our 3rd journey to this Rallye that starts in Kerrville, Texas. This year, we had a 5-car caravan of air-cooled Porsches that drove out to Texas and back. We took a week and traveled nearly 4,000 miles. Over 175 air-cooled Porsches from all over the country as well as Canada and Mexico joined us for this amazing annual event. autokennel Published on Apr 4, 2019

This was the third year for the Springtime Coastal Range Rally. It was called the "Rewind" as they ran from Palmdale north to Parkfield. This 3-day vintage car tour celebrates a wide variety of cars by experiencing close to 1,000-miles of the Central California backroads. it is hosted by DWA! (Driving While Awesome).

To kick off our 2019 driving season, we joined up with a small group of like minded enthusiasts who decided to explore the Southern California desert in the winter. The theme was John Carpenter's Escape from L.A. We were chased by a storm for part of it and were rewarded with spectacular sites and near empty roads. We also played along the border on BLM land that had wonderful soft dirt. However, there were alternate routes for those who chose not to get their cars a bit dirty. This fun tour had 25-cars mostly from the 80's/90's "Radwood" era.

Radwood 2018 was, well, frickin' rad! An amazing car show/event that makes you wonder, hey, why aren't all shows this much fun?!

With police escorts and local town fanfare, we all felt welcome and safe. The government agencies of Baja California provided a wonderful setting for a fun and memorable touring event.

August 23, 2015 It is numbers matching. It was restored by Jerry with KAM Motorsports. The engine has been built to a 2.7 RS specification. Rare factory Porsche sport-purpose parts adorn the car including: factory 911 R rear wheels, factory '73 100L fuel tank, factory 380mm RS steering wheel, factory 10k rpm tachometer, factory aluminum muffler skirt, and factory houndstooth sport seats.

Jun 25, 2015 Spectacular and rare color 2006 Ferrari F430 F1 Berlinetta. Nicely optioned. Recent class winner at Ferrari Concours event with a perfect score of 100 out of 100 points. Factory Challenge wheels with Titanium bolts. 15k service just completed. Great maintenance history.

Jul 1, 2015 This RSR recreation is a high level build featuring factory RSR wheels, factory sport seats, factory plastic fuel tank, and 300whp 3.6L twin plug engine.

Jul 27, 2015 This sport-purpose built 1968 911 was painstakingly built by some of the best in the business: John Esposito, Tony and Marco Gerace of TLG, and Ralph Meaney. Underneath that restored mango green paint is a 2.2L MFI motor from a 1970 911 S.

Published on Sep 3, 2015 Drive, service, detail, repeat...drive, service detail repeat... This level of deep commitment is only seen in a few rare instances: arranged marriages, occult gatherings, and Alfa Romeo ownership.

This Porsche RSR recreation/tribute was built on a 1970 Porsche 911 "longhood." It has steel flares, weighs less than 2,200lbs and has a 295hp 3.5L engine with real Italian 46 IDA Webers (from a Porsche 911R).

This Porsche Turbo Carrera (930) only has 24,000 original miles and is an excellent original survivor. It could compete at a PCA preservation national level. It is well documented and a very complete example with $15k worth of recent significant mechanical work to make sure it was ready for touring or showing.

Rare survivor Lancia Flavia 1.8 Mechanical Fuel Injection with low miles and very original. Designed by Pininfarina. Recent inspection by local Lancia expert showed this example to be extremely dry, straight, and one of the best he's seen. Lots of recent services. Original Numbers Matching drive train with excellent ownership history. Mostly 1-family owned since new.

A glorious 4-day vintage auto tour through the Baja California Peninsula. Over 60-cars/100-people joined the fun.

Beautifully sculpted stretch of highway that runs just one direction. Located between Tecate and Mexicali in Baja California. This was one of the highlights of this year's Targa Baja California.

Amazing SoCal Survivor. 25-years with the same San Diego owner. Mostly original paint. Over $4k of recent major work including freshly rebuilt transmission. All records and history since new. One of the reliability pinnacles of Toyota pick up trucks.
