This is our 5th time driving 1,600 miles out to Texas just to drive another 600 more! And, I’ll do it again and again and again. It’s truly the people that make this event such a success. Each year, our West Coast entourage grows. This year, we had 9 cars in tow. We spent 3 days driving to the event and most of it was spent on 2-lane roads through the Western U.S. countryside. This is the 21st year of the Hill Country Rallye, which is a driving celebration of all air-cooled/torsion bar Porsches. Over 350 cars congregated on the Y.O. Hotel in Kerrville, Texas. Folks came from all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico to enjoy each other’s companies and drive Texas’ famous hill country roads.
