The Porsche 993 design has been described as one of the most beautiful iterations of the timeless 911 body. Also, it is the last of the air-cooled generation and benefitted from some of Porsches most developed race engine technology of that era. There were only 1,900 examples imported to the U.S. in 1996 and 1997 making these one of the lower production Turbos ever offered by Porsche.
This Twin Turbo was built in April of 1995 and sold new on June 19th, 1995 by a local, California Porsche dealer. It was ordered with the following factory options:
- Dark Rootwood shifter
- Wheel caps with colored Porsche crests
- Leather covered panel of the center console (under handbrake lever)
- Leather sunvisors
- Leather covered entrance panel covers
- Dark Rootwood parking brake lever
- CD storage behind hand brake lever
- Cruise control
- Lumbar support right and left seat
- Nokia DSP (Digital Sound Processing) audio system
- CD-radio Alpine 7807
- Pleated leather front and rear seats (aka supple leather)
The first owner lived in California and kept the car for 6-years/12k miles. It was sold to the 2nd owner on September 14th, 2001. This owner is well known in the video game programming world and was living in Seattle, Washington. He kept this Turbo for about 5-years before selling it on January 15th, 2005 with 42k-miles to another Washington enthusiast. This most recent owner was an operations engineer for Boeing in Seattle. Along with the previous owners, this 993 was primarily serviced at their local Porsche dealerships. The ownership and service history are well documented. Highlights include:

It is clear that this 993 Twin Turbo was never abused and simply used as a part time daily driver/weekend cruiser. The exterior looks excellent with minimal signs of use. The black paint is mostly original with the exception of light repaint on the front left and rear left fenders. No signs of damage from accidents or any other misuse. The Carfax is clean and a recent inspection showed no signs of damage. Paint meter pics of each panel are posted. The glass is all original including the windshield. The original hollow spoke 18” turbo twist wheels show no signs of curb rash and are wearing new Pirelli PZero tires. The front brakes have 1/3rd life remaining and the rears are just under half. All the exterior lights function properly.
The interior is equally as nice with hardly any signs of use. The supple leather seats are in extremely nice condition with no tears, cracks, or significant wear. The headliner, carpet, and door panels all look very clean. The full leather dash has no cracks or signs of warping. However, the thin leather has shrunk near the defrost vent (see pic). All the gauges function properly. The A/C system blows very cold (see pic) and the factory upgraded radio system works well. All the interior lights operate properly also.
This Turbo operates flawlessly and feels just as tight as sub 20k mile examples I’ve experienced. It starts easily and holds an even idle. Power, of course, is intoxicating as it has tremendous throttle response throughout the RPM range (partially due to the factory lighter flywheel). The clutch feels good, engages properly. The transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding or gear pop-out issues. The brakes have strong initial bite with no fading or pulling. Steering feels extremely precise with quick turn in and straight tracking.
The engine bay is tidy and shows no signs of modifcations. The underside looks clean with no signs of corrosion or damage. The engine is fairly dry with some light weeping of oil at the valve covers and timing chain covers. This is fairly normal. The front differential also shows some light moisture. The steering rack is dry.
This example has low enough miles to not only help preserve originality, but retain a near new appearance. However, it’s not so low miles that you don’t want to drive it and pay an exorbitant price. This is the perfect blend to enjoy a collectible car today whether as a part time daily driver or weekend fun touring car.
This Porsche comes with the original owner’s manuals/leather holder, tool kit, space saver spare tire, jack, most service records, and 1-key with fob.
