The 997 Porsche models of the 911 are quickly becoming a fan favorite. They are considered the final iteration of the “analog” 911. With 355 hp and 295 lb ft tq from the new 3.8L flat six motor, the C4S goes from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds. Yet, it still gets 25mpg on the open highway. Enthusiasts have segmented some of the most sought after options on these models like sport chrono, 6-speed manual, sport seats, and sport exhaust. This example has all of them.
This C4S was built in October of 2005 and sold new on December 10th, 2005 by Rusnak Porsche of Pasadena, California. It was tastefully appointed with the following factory options:
- Sport Chrono Package Plus
- Sport Seats in Leather
- Heated Seats
- Sport Exhaust
- Sport Shifter
- Thicker Leather Steering Wheel
- Navigation for PCM
- Bose High End Sound Package w/CD Changer
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Black Floor Mats
- Wheel Caps with Colored Crests
The total MSRP was $99,845.
The first owner was a local Los Angeles area professional. He only used it lightly as a weekend toy for local cruising and the rest of the time it remained in his garage on a battery tender. It was regularly serviced at either Beverly Hills Porsche or TRE Motorsports. Besides routine oil services, other services throughout the years included:
- A/C system serviced (2013 @12.5k-miles)
- Clutch job (2016 @ 14.5k-miles) – replaced due to manufacture defect
- Clutch kit
- Flywheel and seal
- Rear main seal
- 20k-mile service (2016 @ 15k-miles)
- Oil service
- Air filter
- Cabin/pollen filter
- Brake fluid flush
- Transmission fluid flush
This owner brought the car to have us sell it last year. We had our mechanic perform an oil service and inspection on 10/1/19 @ 16,496-miles. We sold it to an Orange County enthusiast. If it wasn’t for the fact that he had a chance to buy his holy grail vehicle, an Icon Bronco, he would never be selling this example. He’s just as fastidious as the first owner with maintenance and care. He primarily used James Buck with Cape Auto in Mission Viejo for his service needs. Over the last 2k-miles, this included:
- Stereo repair (make work like new and have seamless Bluetooth capability)
- Repair in-dash CD player and factory trunk CD changer
- Repair Homelink® garage opener system
- Install Motorola hands free Bluetooth system
- Install music Bluetooth capability
- Replace PTM control unit/make sure all electric functions working properly
- Positive battery cable and oil pump vacuum line
As you would expect, this low mile 997 C4S is immaculate with minimal signs of use. The paint is in excellent shape with no major scratches, chips, or dents. The paint on all the metal panels is original and verified with a meter. The rear bumper was repainted years ago due to some blemishes. The match is perfect. All the glass is original, including the windshield. There are no major chips or cracks. The wheels have no curb rash and are wearing Bridgestone tires with about 75% life remaining. The tires were installed 5-years ago and show no signs of age. The brakes are over 50% life remaining. All the exterior lights work properly as does the rear wing. All the light lenses are in good shape with no cracks.
The interior is equally as nice with hardly any signs of wear. The leather seats have no tears or blemishes. The rear seats, headliner, carpet, and door panels all look fresh. The dash has no cracks. All the gauges operate properly as do the rest of the buttons. The stereo, windows, sunroof, mirrors, interior lights, and A/C all work properly. The factory “hand-cuff” cupholders are in good shape. This C4S looks as you would expect a low mile example to look.
It starts easily on the first try and holds an even idle. The power feels strong with excellent throttle response. The steering is precise and tracks straight. The brakes have a strong initial bite with no fading or pulling. This Porsche 911 obviously well cared-for and it drives like new.
California registration is paid to December of 2020 and it passes California’s strict emissions/smog test.
This 997 comes with all the owner’s manuals/books, 3-ring binder with all service history, tools/tire repair kit, original window sticker, wheel lock socket, and an extra master key.
How many options on your Porsche include the word, “Sport?”
In the case of this (appropriately named) Carrera 4S, four times:
Sport Seats (Black, Leather, & Heated)
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Sport Exhaust System
In fact, most of the options ordered for this Porsche were driving related versus what I call “fluff” options. Are carbon fiber door thresholds really lighter than the plastic ones? Don’t get me started on illuminated insignias and deviated stitching.
For this model year in the U.S., there were only 6 published options available with the word “Sport” in them. Can you guess the two not included with this car?
First person to guess correctly will win an AutoKennel T-shirt or license plate frame.

We appreciate the countless calls from brokers and dealers. As much as we would love to quickly “wholesale” this car to industry partners so they can make a quick profit, the car is on consignment (as are all of our offerings) and the owners have the final say.
If you have actually taken the time to read this far in our detailed description, I can’t imagine there are any questions you may have. However, if there is something I missed or you would prefer to hear the warm sound of a human voice (mine) reiterating the research I’ve provided above, I would be happy to help.
