When the Porsche GT3 was launched as a new model in the late 90’s, it was an overwhelming success. All GT3s have since become among the most sought-after modern Porsche collectibles. The famous Mezger engines were the foundation of all the 996 and 997 GT3s. This motor is known for being one of the best engines ever built. It is incredibly reliable and able to handle extended periods of high RPMs. Only 917 997.1 GT3s came to the U.S. and of those, only 11 were in Slate Grey Metallic.
This example was built on May 29th, 2007, and sold new by Circle Porsche of Long Beach, California on June 28th, 2007. This example was ordered with the following factory options:

The MSRP was $119,470, which is equivalent to $180,966 in today’s money.
The current owner of this GT3 purchased it on June 28th, 2007. He started looking for an early long-hood 911S, but when prices crested six figures, he decided to buy a GT3. Circle Porsche just happened to have this late 2007 production model on display in their showroom. It had the rare optioned adaptive sport seats along with a thicker leather-wrapped steering wheel. Plus, they would sell him the car at sticker price with no dealer markup.
This owner lives here in Southern California and is a mature enthusiast. He is active with our local PCA/OCR chapter. He primarily used the car for local PCA gatherings and shows. He never tracked it or abused it and it was always garage-kept. He never modified the car and it is incredibly bone stock. He’s even saved every registration slip from new along with the original window sticker. For the past 17 years/29k miles, this owner has serviced the car at either the selling Porsche dealership or an Orange County-based independent Porsche specialist. Services include:

Complete detail was just completed by our preferred detailer, Ed Shine/Ed’s Pro Car Care. This included a full paint prep as well as 2-stage paint polishing. Finally, the exterior was protected with a ceramic coating/finish. The interior was thoroughly cleaned including conditioning of the leather seats. Finally, the engine and underside were steam cleaned.
This GT3 is a reference example as it’s all original and in pristine condition considering age/miles. The paint looks great with minimal signs of use. The car has never had PPF (paint protection film) and still looks fresh. It’s clear that this owner was careful where and when he drove this GT3. He never took it on the track and also never drove it in the rain. It was always a light weekend cruiser and it shows. There are minimal signs of use and the few chips we saw were professionally touched-up. The paint is all original and verified with a paint meter. The glass is also all-original, including the windshield, and wears the proper factory stampings. There are no significant chips or flaws. The factory 19” wheels have minimal signs of wear and are wrapped in Michelin 4S tires that have about 7k miles and just under half-life remaining. They were installed 3.5 years ago. The front brake pads have over half-life remaining and the rear pads are just under half-life left. All the exterior lights work.
The interior is equally as nice and showcases the care this GT3 has received. The leather sport seats show minimal wear with no cracks or tears. The Alcantara centers have no stains or matting issues. The headliner, carpet, and door panels all look fresh with no issues. The full leather dash has no cracks or warping issues. All the gauges, power windows, mirrors, sunroof, A/C system, interior lights, and radio function properly.
Upon receiving this GT3, we checked the DME/vehicle computer, which shows how often the car has been driven at or above redline. This example was very clean with only 0.02 seconds at redline (level 1) over its entire life. There were zeros on levels 2 through 6.
California registration is paid through July of 2024 and it passes California’s strict smog testing.
This GT3 comes with 2 main keys, original plastic wallet key, original window sticker, owner’s manuals with vinyl book/cover, original maintenance book, all registration slips from new, factory tool kit, tire repair kit, Porsche tire pressure gauge, air compressor, wheel lock socket key, Porsche under seat fire extinguisher, factory car cover, Porsche branded battery tender, and all service receipts from new.
